let me be straightforward here.. as straightforward, simple and honest as the movie is.. despite very few dialogues, david lynch says here more about the human condition than a great majority of elaborate theories and philosophies..

since we're going where we're going on 3rd september and i've seen the man 5 times this summer (not the one whose painting you can see next to what i'm writing now), i've decided to share what comes to me when i think about the whole business.. rather than literally, look at it the way one of my favourite painters perceived whatever he perceived..;)
Big Fish is a 2003 fantasy drama film adapted from the 1998 novel of the same name by Daniel Wallace. The film was directed by Tim Burton and stars Albert Finney, Ewan McGregor, Billy Crudup, and Jessica Lange. Finney plays Edward Bloom, a former traveling salesman from the Southern United States with a gift for storytelling, now confined to his deathbed. Bloom's estranged son, a journalist played by Crudup, attempts to mend their relationship as his dying father relates tall tales of his eventful life as a young adult, played by Ewan McGregor.
Into the Wild is a 2007 American drama film based on the 1996 non-fiction book of the same name by Jon Krakauer about the adventures of Christopher McCandless. It was directed by Sean Penn, who also wrote the screenplay, and stars Emile Hirsch, Jena Malone, Marcia Gay Harden, Vince Vaughn, Kristen Stewart, William Hurt, Catherine Keener, Brian Dierker, Zach Galifianakis, and Hal Holbrook. It premiered during the second edition of the Rome Film Feast. The film premiered outside of Fairbanks, Alaska on September 3, 2007, and the film was issued in limited release on September 21, before a wide release on October 19.
